The Natural Protein Powder



Bengal Gram Sattu is one of the rich sources of plant-based protein. It has a biological value of 74 (it's an indicator to assess the quality of protein). Higher this number, better it is as it refers to how readily the digested protein gets utilised for protein synthesis in our body.


☀️ Proteins are made up of amino acids. Our body is made up of essential and non-essential amino acids. However, our body can't produce them so we need to procure them from food.


☀️ Bengal Gram Sattu contains all essential amino acids in high amount except two - Methionine and Cystine. This deficiency can easily be fixed with when it's mixed with any cereal (rice, wheat etc) in 1:5 ratio (i.e. one part of Sattu with five-part of any cereal)


☀️Bengal Gram Sattu can be mixed with butter milk to make a complete protein powder shake. Take 4 tbsp of Sattu in a glass and add 300 ml of plain or masala butter milk.


☀️ It has low Glycemic Index (GI) - 28 which is better for the health indicating slow digestion and absorption in the body with a steady rise in the blood sugar level instead of sudden spike.


☀️It's good for diabetes, PCOD, weight loss, constipation etc.


☀️It's rich in Vitamin B complex essential for energy production.


☀️ The best time to have sattu drink is empty stomach as it also improves the digestive tract.
